Research Activities
Islamic Azad University of Khorasgan with more than 20 years of experiences in education, research and development has got its appropriate position in the area. Presently, with the purpose of achieving its future prospect, which are to attain the highest national position, to achieve appropriate indices of higher education in international levels, to reach the highest leading status among the universities of Isfahan province and to increase the scientific products indexed in international levels, the university has developed its short and long term programmes. This report is going to state some of the activities done in the research realm of the university.
* Articles
On the basis of the information bank in the research ministry till now, more than 500 scientific research articles have been published in the name of Islamic azad university of Khorasgan. Moreover, more than one hundred ISI articles have been published, from which 77 are available in the web of science, and 100 are available in the scopus. Furthermore, 300 articles have been presented or published in the international conferences. About 600 speech titles and posters have been provided by the faculty members in the national congresses.
* Research Projects
128 research projects have already been finished and 59 projects are already underway.
Furthermore, 56 research projects have been supported by industrial and government organizations.
Exhibition Festivals and Competitions
The university has been very active in exhibitions and festivals. The following are some of the university participations in festivals in the recent 6 months.
1) The university, selection as the best Islamic university on the OIC Ranking.
2) The endowment of genius medal to the Dean of the university in the World Competitions of ARCA in Croatia.
3) Achieving the best rank in the festivals of innovation and efflorescence in Isfahan province in 1387 (2008).
4) Participation in the festival of 30-year-achievement of the Islamic revolution on be half of the Locale the Fourth (one of the Islamic Azad University Locales).
5) The degree achieved by the Development Centre in the innovativing and efflo rsecence festival in the country.
6) The participation of the robotic team in the Kharazmi Younth Festival and winning a cup.
7) Participation in the First international gardening festival in Tehran in Farvardin (April) 1388 (2009).
8) Participation in Isfahan universities, festivals of business and winning the third place.
9) Participation in Sheikh bahai festival and active attendance of researching teams of development centre.
10) Winning the first place in Robo-Cup in China and winning the first place in Iran Competition 2008.
11) University team participation in Iran Open Robo-Cup competitions in 2009 and winning the fourth place in. Two Robo-Cup competition-leagues.
12) University Robo-Cup team participation in international competitions in Austria, in July 2009.
13) Getting the special reward and medal for the best invention in Poland (IWIS 2008).
14) Homage paying to the selected students of university in the festival of the bests of Islamic Azad University.
15) Participation in Aliakbar Excellency Festival and the university's, student selection as the best young inventor of the country in 1388.
16) Holding of the First innovation and efflorescence festival in the university and giving homage to 14 faculty members, 12 students and 2 nuclei of the Development Centre and 2 scientific associations in Azar 1388.
17) Winning the gold medal of the world competition (ARCA) in Croatia.
18) The endowment of the first seat of theory making in linguistics and the first chair of theory making in Azad Islamic university to the faculty member of the university.
19) The selection of the specimen researcher and the best research deputy from the university in the locales in successive years.
* Conferences
Islamic Azad University of Khorasgan has been holding more than 100 national & international conferences in the previous years. Furthermore, in 2009, it has been holding 3 national congresses, and 30 regional conferences. Moreover, the university has had a leading role in several conferences.
* The Library
Presently, the university has 125 thousand books in its central library and with regard to the establishment of the internal digital library with the end of summer 2009, it is anticipated that about 50 thousand books will be available for the members through internal digital mode. Moreover, with joining to the digital library of Islamic Azad University, this university has the highest accessibility to the sources of this library.
* Young Researchers’ Club
The club has been recognised as one of the most honorable branches of this club all over the country. Some of the most outstanding activities of this club in its 10 years of activity can be stated as follows: holding 2 national congresses, and one overall seminar, holding hundreds of educational and researching workshops, presentation of articles in scientific assemblies in and out of the country, registration of tens of invention and discoveries.
International communications
Communication and interaction between the faculty members & student of the university and other world universities have been done through the following: studying opportunities, scientific cooperation, participation in international scientific committees out of the country, the joint supervisors of the theses of the foreign students and the official and various meetings of the universities managers of England, Switzerland, Emirates, Kuwait , Malaysia, Uganda, India and from Islamic Azad University of Khorasgan.
* Scientific Associations
Scientific Association with enjoying 25 scientific literary and aesthetic associations has paved the way for doing research activities with the students' management. Gaining different degrees in students’ festival by these association is the confirmation of the active presence of this university in different scientific & research coteries.
* Incubator Technology Center
The first incubator technology center was set up in 1384 (2005) in the Khorasgan branch. In this period, with cooperation of Isfahan science town, it has gained valuable achievements in Isfahan.
Now, 4 research teams under the support of the Isfahan science town and 4 teams under the direct support of the university have been established in Khorasgan university, moreover, till now, 21 inventions have been registered in the university and incubator technology center and they are going to be executed and accomplished.
* Enterpreneurship Center
In line with commercially making the ideas and developing enterpreneurship Center culture, the first job making Development and Cooperation Centre has been established in Khorasgan university.
In this centre, over tens of people from graduated teams and students have been supported to establish cooperating science-founded firms. Furthermore, different job making courses and specialized seminars are periodically held.
* Research Centers
The Waste and Wastewater Centre has received its certificate in winter 1386(2008), and from then on, in addition to holding a national congress, it has supported several theses and research plans.
In 1387(2009), it received the second place of creation and efflorescence festival in The province and this centre was introduced to the national festival.
The research centre of greenhouse products with 1.3hectare area is the largest instruction and research centre in the country. It holds several courses in M.SC. Level for the public and private organizations, and welcomes a great number of M.SC. students. Furthermore, women studies research centre, organic agriculture research centre,”Robatics research centre”,“research activities council centre” and “research centre and legal clinic” have been proposed to the different parts of the university and the first stages of the establishment of these centres in the university have been anticipated.
* Publications
In the recent years, the university has published 106 books and 3 scientific research Journals with the name of “Science and Research in Educational Sciences” and “Science Research in Psychology Science” and “Research in Agriculture”. Furthermore, 2 other Journals are in the first stages of publication and planning for the publication of online Journals have been done.
* Education and Research Development Centre (ERDC)
This university is the first Islamic Azad University which has started ERDC and in this period, it was successful in holding different research courses and in this field, it has presented different research services to the students and faculty members.
